Yoga + A New Job!

Firstly, a big thank you for all your comments and emails. It really does blow my mind at how kind you all are! It certainly keeps me going.

Just came back from my first yoga class and I feel centred but ravenous. It's nice to be able to chill out while also getting a work out. The class was huge and very impersonal but it helped me focus because I was really nervous. I'll definitely be going back.

In other news, I was interviewed for a full time job today and got it! I'll still do my own thing on the side but at least I'll be able to drop any extra jobs and have considerably more money to finally take that holiday! I will be working as a Photo Editor for a photographic agency/library in a very funky warehouse, down the road from where I live. It'll be a good 1/2 hour walk to work everyday and I figure it'll be good for the next year. I am so lucky my freelance work is so flexible and routine is something very welcoming at the moment.

In terms of food, I haven't been able to fast track so I'll have to just stick to my 22 points a day now.

I hope everyone has had a great start to the week! I'll try my best to catch up with everyone in the next day.

Like I said earlier - congrats on the new job. I think that will take some of the financial pressure off you and you will be able to focus on the things which are important for you as a person !
Take care, my friend and be good !

Good going with the new work - I got my gig too! I start monday.

I'm glad you enjoyed the yoga, I know it can be a very personal release and can get quite intense at times. I hope it works out and becomes 'your thing' (unfortunately, not mine!).

Have a great week.

Congratulations Mary. Hopefully this can springboard you into loads more freelance stuff along the way. And it is so cool that you can walk there. No need for transport.

I think if you stuck to 22 a day you will be OK in covering off the beginning of the week. The stress you have been under with the job interview et al would have burnt quite a bit of that off.

Yaaa for enjoying yoga. Now you can take pressure off from all angles. I hope you have a lovely lovely day *mwah*

oh wow, that is so exciting. Congratulations. I love the sounds of the funky warehouse too....couldn't you just sneak in a few piccies...like that gorgeous PI guy with the food site does on his phone ;)

Glad you liked the yoga....did anyone fart...sorry i had to ask...it's common to fart in yoga you know - as long as it's someone else doing it!?

sorry - I'm a bit crass sometimes

Yay! Congratulations on the job! If i learnt anything from supernanny it is that routine is a good thing!!

I am so tempted to do yoga but pretty much everywhere I ring you need to pay up front for 10 weeks or something - what if i don't like it?? pilates would be awesome too - especially if it made me look like Sarah Jessica Parker!

So well done again Mary!! :-)

Mary you are such a success. I am sure that the job came from your positive attitude to life. You deserve it. Walking to work as well, what a bonus. Your lif eshould be much better now. Does that mean no more record store? You are an example of everything coming together when a person has the right attitude. Very inspirational. Start planning that holiday.

Congrats on the new job!! Working so close to home would be great for you. Walking to work sounds fantastic.

Mmmmm a Holiday! Only 46 days to go till Brampton!! Not that anyone is counting.

I've never been to a Yoga class. I don't think it's as popular in the West as it is in the city. Maybe when I get a little closer to goal I'll give it a go. They have only just discovered Pilates in the West!! LOL.

Thanks for the comments left on my blog also. It helps so much to see comments like yours in reassuring me of my actions against one horrible person. I alway look forward to your posts and getting your feedback from mine. They are always insightful and motivating. Thanks again and have a great day. XX
